SEVERE PAIN AND INFECTION
Toothache, abscesses, and infections need prompt attention. We’ll identify the cause of your pain, work to help provide relief, and treat the underlying problem, whether that’s decay, infection, or gum disease.
DENTAL TRAUMA AND INJURIES
Knocked-out teeth, chips, cracks, or facial injuries from accidents or sports need immediate care. Quick treatment may help save damaged teeth and can help prevent complications. We’ll stabilise the injury and discuss your treatment options.
BROKEN OR LOST RESTORATIONS
Lost fillings, broken crowns, or damaged dentures leave teeth vulnerable and can be painful. We can repair or replace restorations quickly to help protect your tooth and restore function until permanent treatment can be completed.

FAQ's: Emergency Dental Care
Honest answers to help you feel informed and comfortable.
How quickly can you see me for a dental emergency?
We prioritise dental emergencies and do our best to see you the same day you call. When you ring, let our team know it’s an emergency and describe your symptoms. We’ll assess the urgency and fit you in as soon as possible.
If we can’t see you immediately, we’ll give you advice on managing your symptoms until your appointment. For life-threatening emergencies like severe facial swelling affecting breathing, go straight to hospital emergency.
What should I do if I knock out a tooth?
Time is critical with knocked-out teeth. Pick the tooth up by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently with milk or water, and try to place it back in the socket if you can. If not, keep it in milk or hold it in your cheek and call us immediately.
The best chance of saving a knocked-out tooth is if it’s repositioned within 30 minutes to an hour. Even if saving the tooth isn’t possible, we have other options for replacing it. Get to us as quickly as possible.
What counts as a dental emergency?
Severe toothache that doesn’t respond to pain relief, knocked-out or broken teeth, facial swelling, uncontrolled bleeding, abscesses, and lost fillings or crowns that cause pain all count as dental emergencies. Basically, if you’re experiencing significant pain or have damage that needs urgent attention, call us.
Some situations seem urgent but can wait for a regular appointment, like minor sensitivity or small chips that don’t hurt. When in doubt, call us. We’ll help you decide whether you need to come in straight away or if it can wait.
